Protests create divisions

All the rhetoric on taking a knee during “our” national anthem will not get what some Americans want. It has done the complete opposite - instead of bringing the issue to the forefront for discussion, it has indeed brought forth anger on how some Americans feel about this country.

It is true that some black people are not respected by some police. It is true some black people are shot by police, but so are whites, moreso than blacks. All this behavior has done is separate us more. What will black people gain? Nothing. Absolutely nothing, and that is sad.
