Slowpitch softball roundup: University routs North Central in doubleheader sweep

University 24-29, North Central 0-0: Hannah Click threw a no-hitter and went 4 for 4 and University (19-0) routed North Central (5-12) 20-0 to sweep a Greater Spokane League doubleheader on Thursday at University. Makayala Marshall was 4 for 4 with a triple and a home run for the Titans.

Marshall hit a home run, Cortney Richardson went 3 for 3 and Emily Stannard was 4 for 4 for the Titans in the first game.

Mt. Spokane 3-6, Central Valley 2, 14: Serena Cobbs went 4 for 4 with four RBIs and Central Valley (16-2) beat visiting Mt. Spokane (13-5) 14-6 to split a Greater Spokane League doubleheader at Mt. Spokane. Kiara Morse went 3 for 4 with a home run and three RBIs for the Bears.

Emma Jay drove in Hannah Madsen with two outs in the bottom of the eighth for the walk-off win and Mt. Spokane defeated Central Valley 3-2 in the first game.

Shadle Park 3-2, Rogers 2-13: Jaeylin Snyder went 2 for 4 with a solo home run and Rogers (9-9) beat Shadle Park (3-13) 13-2 to split a Greater Spokane League doubleheader at Shadle Park. Jessica Hanson went 1 for 3 with a bases-clearing double in the third for the Pirates.

M’Kayla Husk went 1 for 3 with a double and two RBIs and Shadle Park edged Rogers (8-9) 3-2 in the first game. Meghan Keenan hit the go-ahead RBI single in the fifth for the Highlanders.

Mead 21-10, East Valley 14, 0: Abbie Cushner went 3 for 3 with two home runs and three RBIs and Mead coasted to a 10-0 victory over East Valley (5-9) to sweep a Greater Spokane League doubleheader at East Valley. Annaka Tibbits was 3 for 3 with a double for the Panthers.

Peyton Cushner went 3 for 4 with two home runs and four RBIs and Mead defeated East Valley 21-14 in the early game. Abbie Myer went 3 for 4 with two doubles and two RBIs for the Knights.

Ferris 10-9, Lewis and Clark 0-5: Gracey Lord went 3 for 4 with three RBIs and Ferris (7-10) beat Lewis and Clark (2-12) 9-5 to sweep a Greater Spokane League game at Ferris. Carolyn Johnson went 1 for 2 with a two-run home run and two RBIs for the Tigers.

Lord went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and Ferris shutout Lewis and Clark 10-0 in the early game. Jordan Witten went 1 for 3 with a triple and two RBIs for the Saxons.
