Idaho State Police looking for vehicle that hit, killed bicyclist on I-90 near Coeur d’Alene

A bicyclist was killed Tuesday night on Interstate 90 near Fernan Creek.

At about 10 p.m., an adult male in his late 50s was riding his bicycle in the westbound lane of I-90 near Coeur d’Alene when he was struck by an unknown vehicle, according to a news release from the Idaho State Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man, who is about six feet tall, has brown eyes, gray hair and a partial beard, has not been identified.

The unknown vehicle fled the scene, police said.

State police ask anyone with information on the identity of the victim or the vehicle that hit him to call (208) 209-8730.
