Volleyball roundup: Allison Munday’s 15 kills advance Post Falls into a state play-in game after defeating Coeur d’Alene

Post Falls 3, Coeur d’Alene 0: Allison Munday had 15 kills and Post Falls swept Coeur d’Alene in straight sets (25-16, 25-18, 25-19) in Idaho’s 5A district 1-2 playoff match on Thursday. Macky Morris added 12 digs for the Trojans. With the win, Post Falls will attempt to make state with a victory in a play-in game.

Bonners Ferry 3, Timberlake 0: Bonners Ferry swept visiting Timberlake 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-12) in a 3A district playoff match.

Greater Spokane League

Gonzaga Prep 3, Ferris 1: Emily Zink tallied 27 assists with five aces and visiting Gonzaga Prep (6-2) beat Ferris (4-5) in four sets (25-17, 25-17, 22-25, 25-14).

Central Valley 3, University 1: Paige Wollan recorded 16 kills with six blocks and visiting Central Valley (6-3) defeated University (6-2) in four sets (25-18, 25-16, 21-25, 25-22).

Mt. Spokane 3, North Central 0: Miahna Waters had nine kills with five services aces and visiting Mt. Spokane (6-2) beat North Central (0-8) in straight sets (25-19, 25-7, 25-17). Krista Braun dished out 20 assists for the Indians.

Pullman 3, Clarkston 0: Kelsey Nestegard tallied 13 kills with three service aces and visiting Pullman (8-0) beat Clarkston (2-10) in straight sets (25-15, 25-16, 25-23).

East Valley 3, West Valley 0: Chloe Chalfant had ten kills with three service aces and visiting East Valley (6-5) topped West Valley (2-9) in four sets (25-23, 15-25, 25-13, 25-18). Ayana Oka had 25 digs with two service aces for the Eagles.

Newport 3, Deer Park 0: Cora Pelleberg logged nine kills and five blocks and Newport (7-7) beat visiting Deer Park (6-8) in four sets (25-19, 21-25, 25-21, 25-16). Meghan Nicholas dished out 24 digs for the Stags.

Lakeside 3, Medical Lake 0: Alleana Gallagher tallied 15 digs and Lakeside (13-0) beat visiting Medical Lake (0-14) in straight sets (25-5, 25-7, 25-13).

Freeman 3, Riverside 0: Ailsa Hansen had 23 assists and visiting Freeman (12-2) swept Riverside (2-11) in three sets (25-8, 25-11, 25-14).

Chewelah 3, Colville 1: Elizabeth Chalmers registered 14 kills with three service aces and Chewelah (7-7) beat visiting Colville (8-6) in four sets (25-15, 21-25, 25-19, 25-23).
