Volleyball roundup: Allison Munday leads Post Falls to 5A State Tournament

Post Falls 3, Kuna High School 0: Allison Munday had 17 kills and Post Falls swept aside Kona High School in straight sets (25-14, 25-19, 25-13) on Saturday in an Idaho 5A state play-in game. Kayla Mayo added 16 assists for the Trojans. Post Falls is headed to the 5A State Tournament where it will play Eagle High School next Friday.

Genesee 3, Wallace 0: The Miners lost to the Bulldogs in straight sets in an Idaho 1AD1 state play-in game.

Clark Fork 3, Lakeside (ID) 0.

Kootenai 3, Genesis Prep 0.

Northeast 2B

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 3, Asotin 0: Peyton Curtis finished with ten kills with three blocks and visiting Lind-Ritzville/Sprague (7-4) defeated Asotin in straight sets (25-20, 25-10, 25-23). Adrienne Washington had ten kills with four service aces for the Panthers (2-7).

Northeast 1B

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 3, Valley Christian 0: Ashley Mitchell had nine kills with two blocks and Almira/Coulee-Hartline (12-0) defeated visiting Valley Christian (5-7) in straight sets (25-12, 25-9, 25-11).

Selkirk 3, Curlew 0: Whitney Dawson recorded 12 kills with three service aces and visiting Selkirk (10-1) swept Curlew (1-10) in straight sets (25-8, 25-15, 25-16). Korin Baker notched seven kills for the Cougars.

Cusick 3, Curlew 1: Taylor Allen had ten kills and visiting Cusick (3-7) beat Curlew (1-11) in four sets (25-16, 20-25, 25-11, 25-15). MeganJoe Beedle added seven assists for the Cougars. Leire Dominguez-Sol had nine service aces for the Panthers.

Nonleague

Colfax 3, Pomeroy 0: Carmen Gfeller had 18 kills, five service aces and 14 digs and Colfax (8-0) beat Pomeroy (8-0) in straight sets (25-17, 25-18, 25-11). Sydney Smith led the Pirates with 14 assists and eight digs.
