Death of woman whose body was found near Riverside State Park ruled a suicide

The death of a woman whose body was found at the Bowler and Pitch area of Riverside State Park on Monday has been ruled a suicide, according to the Spokane Medical Examiner.

The 67-year-old woman’s body was found near a walking bridge on the east bank of the Spokane River, below a sheer cliff that’s accessible by a hiking trail.

According to the Medical Examiner’s Office, the woman’s cause of death was from “multiple blunt injuries.”
