Idaho conservation officers seek information on killed cow, bull moose

Moscow-Pullman Daily News

The Idaho Department of Fish and Game is seeking the public’s help in identifying those responsible for illegally killing a cow and bull moose sometime in October in Clearwater County.

Conservation officers located the two animals Friday near the 21-mile marker on the Aquarius Road, which connects Elk River to Grandad Bridge area.

According to a news release from the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, the scene suggests the moose were killed at different times but within 100 yards of each other. Although the actual dates of the deaths are unknown, officers believe the moose were shot on or after Oct. 10.

Portions of the animals were taken, and the antlers of the bull moose were left at the scene, the release said.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Clearwater Regional Office at (208) 799-5010 or the Citizens Against Poaching hotline at (800) 632-5999. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
