EWU men take exhibition win over Portland

Graduate transfer Benas Griciunas scored 18 points in leading Eastern Washington and first-year head coach Shantay Legans to a 76-70 victory over host Portland on Sunday in Portland in an exhibition game benefiting the American Red Cross Hurricane Maria disaster relief efforts.

Sir Washington scored 16 points, 11 in the second half. Mason Peatling added 11 and Bogdan Bliznyuk scored 10 with six assists and seven rebounds.

The Eagles sank 13 3-pointers in the game and outrebounded the Pilots 43-38.
