New blood for council

Time to vote your ballots. The city of Spokane Valley has had some ups and downs (every city does); this council has focused well on its business-friendly approach by streamlining many processes. Having occasion to call City Hall and council members with questions, I’ve found they are efficient, caring, and get back to you with answers quickly. The City Council is doing a decent job, so I recommend retaining them.

On the other hand, the city of Spokane badly needs new blood. It is beyond disturbing that the council president said, “I’d like a 7-0 council.” To not want fellow council members to differ or challenge on issues is so sad, rather like wanting sheep who just follow you. Time for the sheep to go and replace them with thinking, caring, hard-working candidates who will do the important business of a city: maintain streets, safety, represent you, and promote a business friendly environment for job creation. But to accomplish this, you must vote in Tim Benn, Matthew Howes and Andy Dunau.
