A robber snatched a purse from a 91-year-old woman Sunday afternoon in Coeur d’Alene.

Coeur d’Alene police officers responded to the 2800 block of N. 15th Avenue about 4:45 p.m., where the woman had just parked her car and was getting out when she was approached by a man, police said in a news release. He grabbed her purse and after a brief struggle, took off running.

The woman was taken to Kootenai Health hospital for minor injuries.

The suspect is described by police as a thin white man, between 5-foot-8-inches and 6-feet tall, wearing a dark baseball hat and dark jacket or sweatshirt. He was last seen northbound on 15th Street in a tan SUV.
