Liking the Trump ride

Once again, Shawn Vestal was reduced to sophomoric, unprofessional unpatriotic and offensive name-calling when he referred to participation in the Trump administration as “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” on Oct. 13.

If Mr. Vestal infers “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” to mean a stock market up 20 percent since the election, high business and consumer confidence, the creation of over 1 million jobs and 6 million employment opportunities currently available, I want to ride.

If Mr. Vestal implies “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” to mean the placement of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court along with the nomination of other true Constitutionalists to circuit and district courts, I want to ride.

If Mr. Vestal implies “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” to mean the Trump administration’s approval of both the Keystone XL and Dakota Access Pipelines, I want to ride.

If Mr. Vestal implies “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” to mean the decertification of the Iran nuclear agreement, pulling out of the Paris Climate Accord, the renegotiation of NAFTA, proposing comprehensive tax reduction and simplification, or wanting to eliminate Obamacare, I want to ride.

Mr. Vestal practices political correctness until such time that it challenges liberalism. Does “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride” qualify as “hate speech”?
