Spokane Chiefs fall to Seattle despite Taylor Ross hat trick

Taylor Ross recorded a hat trick but the Spokane Chiefs lost to the Seattle Thunderbirds 7-6 in a shootout in Western Hockey League preseason action at the Toyota Center in Kennewick.

Cedrick Chenier, Rykr Cole and Milos Fafrak added goals for the Chiefs (2-1-0-2), while Donovan Buskey made 24 saves.

Spokane continues preseason play against Tri-City on Sunday at 7:05 p.m. in Kennewick.
