Associated Press

CONDA, Idaho – A small earthquake has hit southeast Idaho.

The U.S. Geological Survey reports that a magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck at 8 p.m. Saturday and had an epicenter about 3.5 miles southeast of Conda, an unincorporated community in Caribou County, and 49 miles east of Pocatello, a city of about 54,000 people.

The agency says the earthquake had a depth of 3 miles.

Earlier this week, more than 100 aftershocks rattled southeastern Idaho after a 5.3 magnitude quake hit near the town of Soda Springs.
