Mother-daughter team plans sock drive to benefit people who are homeless

A mother-daughter team seeks the community’s help with a socks drive for people who are homeless.

Amanda Dugger, and daughter Christine, aim to collect 1,700 new or slightly-used socks that will be distributed to area shelters for the homeless as well as individuals outside shelters.

The Socks for the Homeless will be 2-5 p.m. Saturday at Spokane Valley Library, 12004 E. Main Ave., in Spokane Valley.

The Duggers are members of the East Valley Community Coalition which, according to its website, is dedicated to promoting health and wellness.
