Geiger inmate walks away from work crew in Spokane Valley

Spokane County deputies are searching for a Geiger Corrections Center inmate who walked away from a work crew in the 9500 block of East Eighth Avenue around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Duncan P. Mead, 22, was being held on a no contact order violation charge. He was arrested on Sept. 13.

Mead was last seen wearing a blue jean jacket, an orange t-shirt, a maroon over-shirt and blue pants. He is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has short brown hair, brown eyes and a goatee.

Earlier this month Mead was convicted of second-degree criminal trespass. He pleaded guilty to solicitation to possess a controlled substance and third-degree malicious mischief in June and was convicted of hit and run-unattended vehicle in April.
