Cross country roundup: Cheney defeats Clarkston in Great Northern League meet

Both the Cheney boys and girls teams defeated visiting Clarkston in a Great Northern League cross country dual meet on Wednesday.

Bas Holland from Cheney placed first in the boys 5,000-meter event in 17 minutes, 34.04 seconds. Brette Draper from Cheney finished first in the girls event at 21:14.06.

• Both West Valley boys and girls teams defeated visiting East Valley in a Great Northern League dual meet. Kolby Green led the West Valley boys with a second-place finish behind Hunter Reynolds, who took first place in the 5,000 at 17:03 for East Valley. Annika Esvelt from West Valley placed first in the girls event in 20:22.
