Moscow farmers market earns top rating

The Moscow Farmers Market has been rated the best farmers market in Idaho and among the top 25 markets nationally in all award categories by American Farmland Trust’s Ninth Annual Farmers Market Celebration.

Market shoppers, vendors and community members across the state were encouraged throughout the summer to endorse their favorite market in four categories, including focus on farmers, healthy food for all, pillar of the community and champion for the environment. The AFT also recognizes a people’s choice winner and the top three most recommended markets in each state.

The Moscow Farmers Market swept the board and took first in people’s choice and all four categories. Nationwide, the Moscow market was 20th for people’s choice, 21st for focus on farmers, 20th for healthy food for all, 19th for pillar of the community and 22nd for champion for the environment.
