Morning prep roundup: Gonzaga Prep and Central Valley earn wins ahead of next week’s showdown

Gonzaga Prep took another step toward its showdown against Central Valley next week by rolling over Shadle Park 56-13 on Friday.

Connor Halonen rushed for 128 yards with a 60-yard touchdown run and threw two TD passes.

Central Valley, for its part, routed visiting Rogers 48-0 as Grant Hannan threw four touchdown passes.

Also on Friday, in Greg Lee’s swan song for the paper, Coeur d’Alene bounced back from a bitter loss last week and pasted Capital Christian of Sacramento, California, 45-7.

Washington Huskies commit Colson Yankoff threw four touchdown passes and ran for another – and didn’t play in the second half. He completed 13 of 24 attempts for 212 yards and rushed for 113 on six carries.
