Gonzaga is one of three finalists for top 40 recruit Brandon Williams.

Williams, a 6-foot-2 point guard at Crespi High in Encino, California, tweeted Monday his top three are Gonzaga, Arizona and Oregon. Most analysts consider Oregon and Arizona as the frontrunners to land Williams.

Williams originally chose Arizona over Gonzaga, Kansas, UCLA and USC, but re-opened his recruitment in early March after ESPN reported Wildcats coach Sean Miller discussed a $100,000 payment to ensure Deandre Ayton’s services in a wiretapped phone call.

Williams said last month he heard from at least 10 schools after decommitting from Arizona.

The Zags on Monday had their second in-home visit this month with Williams, who is scheduled to visit Gonzaga’s campus in early June. Williams is a four-star recruit and No. 37 on ESPN.com’s top 100.
