Smallmouth bass tournament set

The 17th annual Bassin’ Assassin Tournament is set for the weekend of May 5 and 6, between Box Canyon Dam and Boundary Dam on the river in North Pend Oreille County.

Prizes will be awarded for the largest fish Saturday and the largest on Sunday, with one weigh-in each day. The tournament ends at 2 p.m. Sunday. Winners will receive their prizes Sunday afternoon.
