Morning prep roundup: Matt Schwarz’s home run and defense helps Central Valley upset Mt. Spokane

Matt Schwarz went 2 for 3 with a homer and two RBIs and had a key defensive play in the 4th, and Central Valley (13-5, 11-5) defeated visiting Mt. Spokane (15-3, 14-2) 11-1 on Tuesday in a Greater Spokane League game.

University 8, Gonzaga Prep 3: Sierra Apodaca went 3 for 3 with a double and two RBIs and the Titans (10-5, 10-3) defeated the Bullpups (5-9, 4-8). Gonzaga Prep’s Sarah Tweedy went 2 for 4 with a double and an RBI.
