Letter: Cannon’s Addition residents helpful, kind during search for missing pet cat

Recently a cat named Phoenix went missing in the area of Cannon’s Addition. My friends and I have been searching for her for several days. Even though we haven’t found her yet, we have met so many wonderful people who are sympathetic and helping us look for her. They have seen the posters and when we walk by they call out “Have you found Phoenix yet?” They wish us luck, give us ideas, and tell us they hope we find her soon. It gives us hope to keep looking. This is an area I never knew much about but now I think of it as one of the kindest, friendliest neighborhoods in Spokane. If you have an opportunity in a future article to pass along our gratitude, please thank these lovely people for us.
