Coeur d’Alene completes play at Little League World Series with shutout victory

SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Christopher Reynolds struck out six in 4 1/3 innings Thursday and Coeur d’Alene completed its stay at the Little League World Series with a 5-0 win over Barcelona, Spain, in a consolation game.

Braeden Newby had two hits and two runs batted in for CdA, which represented the Northwest region at the event.

Austin DeBoer also had two RBIs for CdA. Reynolds added two hits.

Alexander Currie pitched the first 1 2/3 innings before giving way to Reynolds.

Spain’s starting pitcher, Juan Salazar, had all three of his team’s hits.
