GSL girls: Aspyn Adams’ 15 points on five 3-pointers leads Mt. Spokane over Gonzaga Prep

Aspyn Adams scored 15 points on five 3-pointers, Jayda Noble added 13 and Mt. Spokane (4-0) beat Gonzaga Prep (2-1) 72-53 on Tuesday.

Mt. Spokane raced out to a 24-8 lead at the end of one quarter, with Adams drilling a pair of 3s.

But G-Prep’s Lakin Gardner’s long 3-pointer just before the buzzer made it a two-point game at intermission, 34-32.

Adams hit three 3s in the third to open back up.

“(Coach) Pratt gave us a good talking to at halftime,” Adams said. “We got what we needed. We came out and ran the game plan he wanted before the game and executed it in the second half.”

Lewis and Clark 66, University 45: Jacinta Buckley scored 19 points, Dominique Arquette added 16 and the Tigers (4-0, 1-0) downed the visiting Titans (2-2, 0-1). Tyler McCliment-Call led UHi with 14 points.

Central Valley 70, Mead 45: Camryn Skaife scored 20 points with six steals and the Bears (2-0, 1-0) beat the visiting Panthers (1-2, 0-1). Jessa Smith scored 10 points to lead Mead.

North Central 54, Ferris 30: Quincey McDeid scored 18 points, Kyara sayers added 13 and the visiting Indians (2-1,1-0) beat the Saxons (2-2, 0-1).

Shadle Park 44, Rogers 29: Katelyn Pomerinke scored 11 points and the visiting Highlanders (1-2, 1-0) topped the Pirates (0-2, 0-1). Jenna Smith led Rogers with 11.
