Declare martial law on border

For far too many years a veritable guerrilla army of criminal illegal aliens has been infiltrating our southern border with virtual impunity. And just as a hostile, invading regular army wages a war of death and destruction, these criminals have been committing murders, rapes, armed robberies and vehicular homicides as well as illegal drug and sex trafficking that are wreaking havoc throughout our country.

Treacherously, there are too many Americans with sinistral motives who have effectively collaborated with these enemies of our people by aiding and abetting them with protection in sanctuary cities.

They are overwhelming our civilian law enforcement agencies and our courts due to our inadequate border security and immigration laws. President Trump should declare martial law along the entire southern border to stem this insidious invasion. That would give our military the authority to enforce civil and criminal laws there. It would also suspend certain civil liberties that protect these criminal aliens from easier apprehension, detention and disposition.

Such measures should stay in effect until Congress acts to reinforce our border security and fix our broken immigration system by passing President Trump’s “Four Pillars” of reform. Remember Kate Steinle. And so many others.
