Deputies arrest Spokane Valley stabbing suspect near Costco

A man suspected of stabbing another man and sending him to a hospital with life-threatening injuries was arrested Monday evening.

Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies took 62-year-old Terry L. Rance into custody sometime before 9:30 p.m. at Broadway Avenue and Eastern Road after a stabbing at Intermountain Community Bank near the Spokane Valley Costco.

Deputies say the victim called 911 at about 5 p.m. to report he had been stabbed but “would not provide additional information,” according to a news release.

Rance has no felony criminal history in Spokane County. He’s facing a charge of first-degree assault.
