Brandi Carlile announces June 1 concert at the Gorge

Washington native Brandi Carlile’s year is ending on a high note.

A week after she became the most nominated female and third-most nominated artist at the 61st Grammy Awards with six nominations, including Album of the Year for “By The Way, I Forgive You” and Record and Song of the Year for “The Joke,” Carlile has announced her first headlining show at the Gorge Amphitheatre.

The June 1 show, which falls on Carlile’s birthday, features special guests Emmylou Harris and Neko Case. Tickets for the show go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. at www.livenation.com or (800) 745-3000.

Carlile released “By The Way, I Forgive You” in February.
