Area college basketball: JR Delgado leads CC Spokane men past Centralia

JR Delgado scored 19 points, including five 3-pointers, and grabbed seven rebounds as Community Colleges of Spokane defeated Centralia 80-70 Friday at the Umpqua Tournament in Roseburg, Oregon.

Asher Cox and Dedrick Pakootas chipped in 13 points apiece for the Sasquatch (9-2), who shot 50 percent (12 of 24) on 3-point attempts.

Marqus Gilson totaled a game-high 24 points for the Trailblazers (4-4). LaBrandon Price added 14 points and eight rebounds.

Women

Jessica Olson notched 11 points and seven rebounds, and CC Spokane topped Skagit Valley 57-43 at the Mount Vernon Tournament in Mount Vernon, Washington.

Emily Fletcher and Katlyn Ostrowski scored 10 points each for the Sasquatch (6-1). CCS held Skagit Valley to 29 percent (15 of 51) shooting.

Angelica Perry paced the Cardinals (4-3) with 13 points.
