Valley’s PR problem

The city of Spokane Valley and the 4th Legislative District have a public relations problem caused by Matt Shea which includes: his “Biblical Basis of War” manifesto with its alt-right white supremacist leanings; his attempts to create a 51st state out of Eastern Washington; his removal from a state leadership position; referral to the FBI for investigation and a inquiry into contributions from his campaign funds.

Newspapers, local and nationwide, along with national news outlets have reported on his “Biblical Basis of War.” Any business or family researching whether to move to the Spokane Valley may have some concern. There are three sitting Valley councilmen — Rod Higgins, Sam Wood and Arne Woodard — who endorsed Matt Shea. The Valley City Council should publicly renounce the alt-right white supremacy ideologies of Matt Shea and his followers.
