Man arrested, accused of brandishing knife, harassing people near Kendall Yards

Police arrested a 19-year-old man Tuesday for allegedly brandishing a knife and threatening to kill people in the Kendall Yards area.

Police say Robert J. Woodhead walked up to a car occupied by a family on Monroe Street near Kendall Yards at about 3 p.m. Woodhead allegedly grabbed the car and “made inappropriate gestures.” When the driver got out of the car and confronted Woodhead, he pulled out a knife and threatened to kill him and the people in the car, according to a Spokane Police Department news release.

The driver got back into the car and left, according to the a release.

Woodhead then approached a random pedestrian and began screaming at him while still holding the knife, the news release stated. The pedestrian fled into a building.

Police arrived shortly after and arrested Woodhead, who is facing two counts of felony harassment. He also had an outstanding warrant.
