Boys basketball: St. George’s stays undefeated with win over Prosser at Eagle Holiday Classic

Eagle Holiday Classic at West Valley HS

St. George’s 63, Prosser 56: Ben Adams and Xander Werkman scored 17 points apiece and the Dragons (9-0) defeated the Mustangs (6-4). Erik Farias added 12 points for St. George’s, while Calvin Maljaars led Prosser with 15 points.

Okanogan 80, Liberty 64: Gage Wilson scored 29 points and the Bulldogs (9-3) downed the Lancers (6-4) on Friday. Isaak Ottmar led Liberty with 30 points.

Sandpoint 72, Davenport 55: Ryan Roos scored 19 points and the Bulldogs (5-3) topped the Gorillas (2-6). Alex Stockton added 18 points for Sandpoint while AJ Floyd led Davenport with 34 points.

Newport 66, East Valley 35: Tug Smith scored 16 points, Danny Bradbury added 13 and the Grizzlies (7-1) beat the Knights (2-10). Jordan Pennington led East Valley with 11 points.

Lake Roosevelt 70, Colton 49: Trevor McCraigie scored 16 points and the Raiders (7-3) handled the Wildcats (6-4). Reece Chadwick led Colton with 25 points and Trent Druffel added 10.

West Valley 54, Timberlake (ID) 41: Nick Drynan scored 16 points, George Fisher added 11 and the Eagles (10-2) beat the Tigers (2-6). Jacob James led Timberlake with 14 points.

Avista Holiday Tournament at Lewis-Clark State College

Lewiston 66, Lapwai 48: Donaven Santana scored 27 points and the Bengals (4-4) raced past the Wildcats (4-3). Titus Yearout led Lapwai with 16 points.

Greg Larson Memorial at Freeman HS

Northwest Christian 56, Freeman 51 (OT): Brian Mackenzie scored 24 points and the Crusaders (7-2) beat the Scotties (4-7) in the championship game. Reed Loranger added 15 for NWC. Dylan Oja led Freeman with 18 points.

St. Maries 58, Kellogg 37: Daniel Howard scored 13 points and the Lumberjacks (6-4) defeated the Wildcats (2-6) in the consolation game.

Kettle Falls Tournament

Northport 77, Cheweleh 16: Jake George scored 20 points and the Cougars (5-6) cruised past the Mustangs (1-8) at Kettle Falls HS. Tanner Malcom led Northport with five points.

Odessa 53, Kettle Falls 40: Ryan Moffet scored 25 points, Marcus King added 12 and the Tigers (7-0) topped the Bulldogs (7-5). Braylen Pfeffer led Kettle Falls with 14 points.

Wellpinit Holiday Classic

Cusick 55, Wellpinit 51: Ethan Hardie scored 19 points and the Panthers (6-3) held off the Redskins (3-5) at Wellpinit HS. Colton Seymour added 17 points for Cusick while Dominic Abrahamson led Wellpinit with 16 points.

Reardan Lion’s Club Tournament

Reardan 49, Oakesdale 41: Andrew Alsept and Cade Francis scored 17 points apiece to lead the Indians (4-4) past the visiting Nighthawks (5-4) in the 73rd annual edition of the tournament. Evan Henning lead Oakesdale with 12 points.

Lake City Classic

South Kitsap (WA) 66, Lake City 63 (OT): D’Ante Ward scored 19 points and the Wolves (4-3) outlasted the Timberwolves (1-7) at Lake City HS. Josh Stellflug led Lake City with 20 points, Seth Hanson had 15 and Jack Kiesbury added 11.

Post Falls 58, Kentridge 53: Colby Gennett scored 21 points and the Trojans (6-4) defeated the visiting Chargers (8-3). Jett Briceno led Kentridge with 14 points.

Torrey Pines Holiday Classic

J Serra (CA) 70, Genesis Prep 55: DJ Rodman, son of former NBA star Dennis Rodman, scored 48 points and the Lions (14-4) defeated the Jaguars (2-5) in San Diego. Jonny Hillman led Genesis Prep with 22 points, Jacob Schutlz had 15 and Kon Ajang added 13.
