GSL boys basketball: Jayce Simmons’ 15 points leads Central Valley to Bothell Holiday Tournament title

Jayce Simmons scored 15 points and visiting Central Valley (7-3) beat Bothell 59-42 in the championship game of the Bothell Holiday Tournament on Saturday.

Myles Phillips led Bothell (6-4) with 15 points.

Les Schwab Invitational

Gonzaga Prep 68, Jefferson 59: Anton Watson scored 27 points and the Bullpups (9-2) defeated the Raiders (4-7) to place third in the Les Schwab Invitational at Liberty HS (Oregon).

Jefferson was led by Marcus Tsohonis with 19 points.

Eagle Holiday Classic at West Valley

Rogers 66, Medical Lake 56: Ethan Kaesemeyer scored 24 points with five 3-pointers and the Pirates (3-8) beat the Cardinals (3-4). Garren Garza led Medical Lake with 17 points.

Shadle Park 65, Sandpoint 50: Jake Groves scored 25 points and the Highlanders (7-3) defeated the Bulldogs (4-4). Kobe Banks led Sandpoint with 17 points.

Lake City Classic

Coeur d’Alene 63, Mead 59: Connor King scored 14 points and the Vikings (7-3) defeated the Panthers (1-10) in the Lake City Invite. Jonathan Baird led Mead with 14 points.

Post Falls 55, North Central 50: Colby Gennett scored 15 points and the Trojans (8-4) beat the Indians (5-6). Leon Sayers led North Central with 20 points.
