Gonzaga-Pacific: 3 keys to the Bulldogs’ 71-61 victory

Gonzaga finally creating some breathing room midway through the second half with an 8-1 spurt that pushed their lead to 55-42. Corey Kispert had a basket and two free throws and Silas Melson added a steal and two free throws. GU led by at least eight the rest of the way.

Offensive player of the game

Sophomore forward Killian Tillie started fast in both halves, putting up nine of GU’s first 14 points and then striking for five quick points early in the second half. He finished with a game-high 21 points on 8-of-12 shooting. He made a pair of 3-pointers.

Defensive player of the game

Senior forward Johnathan Williams limited 7-foot post Namdi Okonkwo to just three points and he did a solid job helping when Pacific guards penetrated into the lane. Williams blocked a couple of shots and pulled down 10 rebounds.
