Gonzaga-Saint Mary’s tickets fetch hefty price

UPDATED: Sat., Feb. 10, 2018, 9:09 p.m.

MORAGA, Calif. – For those willing to pay the price, it cost more for a ticket to attend the Gonzaga-Saint Mary’s showdown than every NBA game Saturday night, including San Antonio’s visit to defending champion Golden State.

The cheapest available GU-SMC standing room only ticket early Saturday afternoon was $193, according to Stephen Spiewak of VividSeats.com. He added that GU-SMC was one of the site’s top tickets this weekend. Earlier in the week, Spurs-Warriors tickets were going for $115.

The WCC showdown has been sold out for weeks. The Gonzaga-Saint Mary’s game annually fills 3,500-seat McKeon Pavilion, which swells beyond capacity by several hundred with standing room only. SRO tickets were available for $112 Wednesday and that jumped to $139 Friday, Spiewak said.
