Kudos to Street Department Director

What a pleasant surprise to wake up recently after the snow plows had come through overnight and not have a mountain of snow and ice left in my driveway. Kudos to new Street Department Director Gary Kaesemeyer for bringing back the driveway boots for clearing driveways.

I remember back in the 1980s when I worked for the Street Department that Gary, who was an equipment operator for the Sewer Department, would come over to the Street Department to drive a grader with a driveway boot to help with snow removal.

Finally we have a Street Department director with some common sense who knows that we need to have our driveways kept free of ice and snow during the snow removal process.
