Boys basketball: Ryan Crosswhite and top-ranked Freeman beat Riverside 86-36

Ryan Crosswhite scored 20 points and Freeman (9-0, 4-0) defeated visiting Riverside (2-8, 0-4) 86-36 in a Northeast 1A league game on Tuesday.

Michael Coumont added 18 points for the Scotties who are rated No. 1 in State 1A according to the latest WIAA RPI.

Jackson Clark had 16 and Dylan Oja had 12 points to wrap up the double-digit scorers for Freeman.

Kory Cross had 14 points for the Rams.

Newport 57, Medical Lake 43: Koa Pancho had 18 points and 10 rebounds with five assists and the Grizzlies (6-2, 3-1) beat the visiting Cardinals (4-4, 3-2).

Tug Smith had four steals for the Grizzlies who are rated fourth in state.

Skylar Johnson led the Cardinals with 10 points and eight boards.

Chewelah 49, Deer Park 44: Dawson Youngblood scored 13 points and the visiting Cougars (5-3, 2-2) beat the Stags (4-5, 2-2). Gavin Parrot had 10 for the Cougars and made four of his five attempts from the free-throw line. Isaac Berglund scored 16 for the Stags. Chewelah is rated 13th in State 1A according to the same WIAA RPI report.

Lakeside (WA) 75, Colville 32: Tristan Cox scored 16 points and the Eagles (4-6, 2-2) defeated the Indians (4-6, 1-3). Brycen Chittum pitched in 15 points for Lakeside while Kobe Cunningham led Colville with 11.

Nonleague

Tekoa-Rosalia 93, Valley Christian 67: Craig Mueller scored 36 points and the Timberwolves (2-6) beat the visiting Panthers (3-7). Mueller also had 18 rebounds to complete his double-double. Teammate Garret Naught scored 23 points. David Karapeter scored 15 points and Sam Reese had 14 for the Panthers.

Oakesdale 84, Inchelium 24: Kieron Anderson scored 19 points and the visiting Nighthawks (9-2) defeated the Hornets (0-7). Robert McKinney had eight points for the Hornets.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 49, Columbia-Burbank 43: Bryce Kelly scored 12 points and the Broncos (7-3) held off the Coyotes (5-4). Rece Humphries led the Coyotes with 17 points.

Idaho

Lake City 60, Moscow 49: James Carlson scored 20 points and the visiting Timberwolves (5-5) beat the Bears (0-7) in a nonleague game. Carlson added eight rebounds while Hunter Schaffer also scored 20 points for the Timberwolves. Cooper Stephens led Moscow with 20 points.

Lewiston 68, Lakeland 60: Donaven Santana scored 31 points to lead the Bengals (6-3) past the visiting Hawks (6-2). Dylan Vahey recorded 12 points with five assists and Josiah Haaland added 12 rebounds for the Hawks.
