Early bird Bloomsday registration opens

RUNNING – Looking for some training motivation? Bloomsday has you covered and might even sweeten the deal with a prize. Early registration for the 42nd annual road race opened Tuesday. Register by Feb. 11 and you could win a 64 GB Apple iPhone 8 or a 64 GM Samsung Galaxy (winner’s choice).

“We know it’s cold out and there’s snow on the ground,” said Lilac Bloomsday Association President Mark Starr in a news release. “But in four months we’ll all be enjoying spring weather and the excitement of running or walking seven-and-a-half miles along the Spokane River.”

Bloomsday will be on Sunday, May 6. Full details and printed entry forms will be available in early March.
