Killian Tillie buried consecutive 3-pointers and Rui Hachimura scored the next nine points as Gonzaga rattled off 15 unanswered points to open up a 22-9 lead midway through the first half. The Zags held the Waves scoreless for nearly 7 minutes.

Offensive player of the game

Tillie poured in 22 points in just 25 minutes. The sophomore forward made 9 of 10 field-goal attempts. Tillie hurt the Waves inside with post moves and jump hooks, and outside with three 3-pointers. He added eight rebounds and two assists.

Defensive player of the game

Senior guard Silas Melson put the clamps on freshman guard Colbey Ross, particularly in the first half when GU opened up a 41-23 lead. Ross finished with 12 points, but most came with the Zags holding a commanding lead. Ross committed six turnovers.
