Parcels in Coeur d’Alene’s Fort Grounds neighborhood up for bid

Ten parcels are going out for bid in the desirable and historic Fort Grounds neighborhood in Coeur d’Alene following the demolition of dilapidated houses on site.

The 1.4-mile strip of land on North Park Drive has been divided into 10 parcels that run along the newly created Memorial Park, which are now on sale through a sealed bid auction.

The redevelopment of the site has been done by ignite cda, the city’s urban renewal agency. The auction will follow the current construction of a downtown parking garage and the completion of the $9.7 million, 30,000-square-foot North Idaho Collaborative Education Facility, a joint venture between North Idaho College, Lewis-Clark State College and the University of Idaho.

More information on the auction can be found at ignitecda.org. Sealed bids are due by 3 p.m. Feb. 21.
