GSL girls: Andie Zylak scores 18 points to help Lewis and Clark top Gonzaga Prep

Andie Zylak scored 18 points and visiting Lewis and Clark (8-6, 6-2) beat Gonzaga Prep (8-6, 4-4) 52-40 in Greater Spokane League play on Friday.

Mia Scelfo led Gonzaga Prep with 11 points.

LC, which entered play rated 11th in state 4A, led 21-19 at intermission. Zykak’s layup just before the third-quarter buzzer gave the Tigers a 33-27 lead entering the final frame.

Jacinta Buckley then scored twice in the lane and grabbed a defensive rebound to lead a fast break, resulting in a layup for Zylak and a 12-point lead with 6:01 left. Buckley scored with 10 points.

Central Valley 88, Rogers 12: Lexie Hull tallied 21 points and the visiting Bears (12-0, 8-0) defeated the Pirates (1-13, 0-6).

Central Valley, rated No. 1 in state 4A, led 53-0 at halftime.

Lacie Hull and Tomeika Whitman scored 12 points apiece while Hailey Christopher added 11 for the Bears.

Savanna Wickering knocked in three 3-pointers to lead Rogers with nine points.

University 63, North Central 41: Ellie Boni scored 16 points and the visiting Titans (9-5, 6-2) beat the Indians (8-7, 3-3).

Kinsley Barrington scored 15 points and Jasey Ramelow added 10 for University.

Quincy McDeid led North Central with 11 points.

Mead 69, Shadle Park 42: Lindsey Russell scored 20 points, Lindsey Tucker added 15 and the Panthers (5-9, 3-6) defeated the Highlanders (2-12, 2-5).

Jillian Groves led Shadle with 17 points on five 3-pointers and Willow Risinger had 13.

Mt. Spokane 69, Ferris 21: Averi Adams drained four 3-pointers en route to 17 points and the Wildcats (8-5, 5-2), rated No. 19 in state 3A, routed the visiting Saxons (2-12, 1-7).

Alyssa Powell chipped in 14 points and Tia Allen netted 10 for Mt. Spokane.

The Wildcats hit 11 3-pointers on the night.

The Wildcats led 32-4 after the first quarter.
