Free snowshoeing, Nordic skiing at Schweitzer, 49 Degrees North Saturday

WINTERSPORTS – Winter Trails Day is being celebrated Saturday (Jan. 20) at Schweitzer Mountain with free access to the snowshoe and Nordic trails plus three free hosted hikes for newbies.

Reserve a spot for the hosted hikes by contacting the Schweitzer Activities Center. Trail passes will still be required, but they will be handed out at no charge at the Activities Center, Guest Services or the ticket office.

Women’s Snowshoe Tour (Jan. 20) at 49 Degrees North. Make reservation through Spokane Parks and Recreation for the trek followed by lunch in the Nordic Center yurt. Cost: $39.
