Girls basketball: Bella Murekatete posts double-double as Genesis Prep beats Lakeside

Genesis Prep 63, Lakeside (ID) 35: Bella Murekatete notched 33 points and 18 rebounds as the Jaguars (5-0 North Star League) raced past the Knights (2-1). Tommia Pakootas led Lakeside with 16.

Great Northern League

Clarkston 62, Cheney 45: Ashlyn Wallace scored 21 points and the Bantams (7-1 GNL) defeated the Blackhawks (3-5). AJ Sobotta scored 12 points for Clarkston, while Emma Evans led Cheney with nine points.

East Valley 81, Pullman 56: Emily Fletcher scored 16 points and the visiting Knights (7-1 GNL) defeated the Greyhounds (0-8). Meghan McSweeny paced Pullman with 14 points.

Northeast A League

Medical Lake 59, Deer Park 14: Makayla Geiger, Jaxyn Farmen and Lexie Redell each scored 14 points and the Cardinals (10-0 NEA) defeated the Stags (3-7). Hava Fairbanks led Deer Park with five points.

Colville 45, Riverside 36: Rylee Merritt scored 15 points and the Indians (4-7 NEA) downed the Rams (0-10). Ava West led Colville with 15.

Lakeside (WA) 34, Freeman 29: Sienna Swannak scored 14 points and the Eagles (9-1 NEA) beat the Scotties (7-4). Jordyn Goldsmith and Bradee Parisotto paced Freeman with six points each.

Northeast 2B

Northwest Christian 68, Reardan 28: Mattea Nelson scored 15 points and the Crusaders (7-3 NE 2B) defeated the visiting Indians. Kim Dewey led Reardan with 17 points.

St. George’s 60, Tekoa-Rosalia 24: Cambrie Rickard scored 14 points and the Dragons (10-1 NE 2B) defeated the visiting Timberwolves (0-7). Gwynn Razo led Tekoa-Rosalia with 9 points.

Lind-Ritzville/Sprague 43, Kettle Falls 34: Peyton Curtis scored 23 points and the Broncos (5-6 NE 2B) downed the Bulldogs (5-6). Taylor Dunlap and Mallory Pounds scored 12 each for the Bulldogs.

Springdale 33, Asotin 31: Nichole Beckman scored 16 points and the Chargers (1-9 NE 2B) beat the Panthers (2-8). Adrienne Washington led Asotin with 15 points.

Chewelah 55, Newport 45: Krislyn Koler scored 31 points as the Cougars (4-6 NEA) defeated the Grizzlies (4-6). Jocelin Nenema led the way for Newport with 16 points.

Northeast 1B

Valley Christian 44, Republic 24: Phoebe Trigsted scored 29 points and the Panthers (6-5 NE 1B) beat the Tigers (1-12). Kailee Rittel led Republic with 13 points.

Cusick 63, Columbia 14: Zahria Delgado scored 18 points and the visiting Panthers (3-9 NE 1B) defeated the Lions (0-12). Lexi Nelson led Columbia with 11 points.

Curlew 67, Odessa 53: Korin Baker scored 15 points and 15 rebounds and the Cougars (10-4 NE 1B) defeated the Tigers (3-9). McKennah Davison led Odessa with 27 points, while MeganJoe Beedle scored 14 points and had seven assists.

Almira/Coulee-Hartline 55, Northport 30: Gabi Isaak scored 18 points and the visiting Warriors (11-1 NE 1B) defeated the Mustangs (3-9). Hailey Young scored 14 points to pace Northport.

Southeast 1B

Colton 65, Touchet 42: Rylee Vining scored 18 points and the Wildcats (9-0 SE 1B) downed the Indians (2-6). Katie Skramstad led Touchet with 23.

Garfield-Palouse 54, Waitsburg 20: Kenzie Pederson scored 17 points and the Vikings (4-3 SE 1B) defeated the Cardinals (0-7). Devon Harshman paced Waitsburg with 12 points.

Nonleague

Big Sky 49, Coeur d’Alene 47: Julia Riekena scored 17 points and the visiting Eagles defeated the Vikings. Rey Louden paced Coeur d’Alene with 17 points.

Timberlake 48, Sandpoint 41: Brooke Jessen scored 13 points and the Tigers downed the Bulldogs. Ciera Bailey led the Bulldogs with 11.

Bonners Ferry 56, Wallace 23: Miranda Wenk tallied 13 points and 13 rebounds and the Badgers defeated the visiting Miners. Kimmie Krous paced Wallace with 11 points.
