Trump doesn’t ignore problems

After reading what seems to be every other opinion calling President Trump everything from misogynist to fascist, let’s put some perspective on current issues.

President Obama, for his entire presidency, blamed the Bush administration for the stagnant economy but did very little about it for eight years, as evidenced by a paltry 2 percent GDP.

He famously told Russia’s Putin that he could do “more” after his re-election. North Korea hasn’t magically obtained nuclear weapons and missiles over the last year. Puerto Rico’s infrastructure crumbled to the point of despair through mismanagement and graft under his watch. Iran’s and Russia’s influence over the Middle East have grown exponentially. Middle-class wages not only stagnated, but regressed. Our national debt increased exponentially. Terrorism has become global. And it’s becoming more and more evident that members of the Obama administration overtly and covertly used government agencies (IRS, FBI, State, NSA) to harm political rivals. Where was the indignation and cry for justice when this was happening?

You can either agree or disagree with President Trump’s handling of these important issues, but one thing is clear — unlike President Obama, at least he’s not ignoring the problems, and he’s not using government agencies to trample adversaries.
