Starbucks at Francis and Ash to undergo major renovation

The Starbucks at the corner of Francis Avenue and Ash Street in north Spokane will be substantially renovated, according to permits filed with the city.

The 1,750-square-foot coffee shop and drive-thru will see $258,000 in interior work, including demolition and new walls, doors and equipment. The building’s exterior will not be changed.

The work is designed by Salas O’Brien, a Seattle planning, design and construction company that designs all Starbucks. The firms other clients include Microsoft, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile. AUE, of Bellevue, Washington, did the structural engineering.
