Human remains found during road construction near Kingston, Idaho

Human remains were discovered Thursday morning at a roadway construction site near Kingston, Idaho, authorities said.

Shoshone County Undersheriff Holly Lindsey said in a Facebook post that the sheriff’s office was notified of the discovery at about 8:30 a.m.

Sheriff’s detectives and Idaho State Police troopers were processing the scene along with staff from the Shoshone County Prosecutor’s Office, Lindsey said.

There was no immediate indication of the age of the remains.

Kingston is about 30 miles east of Coeur d’Alene along Interstate 90.
