Whether you’re playing in Hoopfest, spectating or avoiding downtown all together, Respect My Region’s Hoopfest Weekend Kickoff will help you ring in the three-on-three weekend.

The Marshall Law Band, the Naturalystics, La Fonda and T.S. the Solution will perform Friday at the Bartlett.

Seattle’s Marshall Law Band has only been together since 2016, but the members of the funk-hop sixpiece have each been performing for more than seven years.

The group first performed together when frontman Marshall Hugh’s enlisted the help of bassist Evan, guitarist Josh, saxophonist Marty, drummer Matt and keyboardist Zack on his solo album “Mill Creek.”

A few live shows later and the group decided to officially join forces. The band’s debut full-length is currently in the works.

Spokane’s the Naturalystics is the duo of Eli “Brotha Nature” Dyer and Lucas “Dookie” Brown.

Since 2015, the pair has used improvisation and looping to create “organic hip-hop” tunes.

Dyer beatboxes and handles the lyrics and loop and vocal effects pedals, while Brown provides accompaniment via guitar, keys and vocal harmonies.

Seattle’s La Fonda combines indie-pop and surf-rock vibes to create a solid summer soundtrack.

The band – guitarist Jesse Cole, bassist Bryan Dever, keyboardist Patrick Hodge, singer/guitarist Valerie Topacio and lead singer Veronica Topacio – is currently working on its debut album, but in the meantime, check out the video for “FOMO” for an idea of the party they’ll throw at the Bartlett.

Last but not least, local rapper T.S. the Solution will headline the night.

T.S. the Solution is a native of Long Beach, California but has been welcomed with open arms up north as he’s performed all across the state over the last few years.

He performed at the Tinnabulation Music Festival last summer and his song “Too Easy” won the Bartlett Award for best local song earlier this year.

T.S. the Solution also just released the Spokane-centric video for “G.O.,” which features the rapper visiting Local Legendz Barbershop, the Garland Theater, Ferguson’s Cafe and Kingsley and Scout.

If you needed another reason to come to the show, Friday is also T.S. the Solution’s birthday.
