Victor Sanders, who finished his collegiate basketball career as Idaho’s second-leading scorer all-time, has signed with the Denver Nuggets’ NBA summer-league team.

An electrifying ball handler and deadly long range shooter, Sanders scored 1,804 points in his Vandals career. His 272 three-pointers are also second all-time at Idaho, and his 440 free throws are the most ever by a Vandals player.

This past season, Sanders was Idaho’s leading scorer at 19 points per game. He was a second-team All-Big Sky selection as well as a second team All-NABC All-District 6 pick.

Sanders was key to Idaho compiling a 22-9 season record and earning the number two seed to the Big Sky Conference tournament.

Games begin July 6 in Las Vegas with the Nuggets facing the Minnesota Timberwolves at 8 p.m. Denver plays the Boston Celtics the following day, also at 8 p.m. Those games will be broadcast on NBA TV.

The opening round concludes July 9 at 6 p.m. when the Nuggets play the Milwaukee Bucks live on ESPNU. The league tournament starts July 11.
