Conservation easements offered for landowners

The Greater Spokane River Watershed Regional Conservation Partnership is asking for applications for the Healthy Forest Reserve Program.

The program facilitates the protection and restoration of forests on private land via easements and financial assistance, according to a news release from the Spokane Conservation District.

The program is available to private forest landowners in the Spokane River Watershed which includes parts of Whitman, Lincoln, Spokane, Stevens and Pend Oreille counties in Washington and Latah, Bonner, Benewah, Kootenai, Shoshone and Clear Water counties in Idaho.
