Albert Havili headlines list of hopefuls for Eastern Washington’s pro day

What they lack in star power, these former Eastern Washington football players more than make up in numbers.

Nine former Eastern Washington football players will take part in the school’s annual Pro Day on Friday, with weight and agility testing held indoors and outdoor tests set for Roos Field.

Among the participants is defensive end Albert Havili, who’s projected as a linebacker or fullback on the next level.

Others taking part are defensive lineman Andre Lino; wide receivers Nic Sblendorio and Keonte White; defensive backs Victor Gamboa, Jake Hoffman and John Kreifels; running back Lordan Laurencio; and punter/kicker Jordan Dascalo.

Dascalo was a first-team All-Big Sky Conference selection last year and played in the NFL Player’s Association Collegiate Bowl in January.

The inside portion of the testing is closed to the public and media because of space limitations.

The outdoor testing and drills at Roos Field will be open for viewing at about 12:30 p.m. (subject to change).

Last year, wide receiver Cooper Kupp was drafted in the third round (88th overall) by the Los Angeles Rams to rank as EWU’s second-highest draft choice, and outside linebacker Samson Ebukam was taken by the Rams in the fourth round (125th overall) to rank third on EWU’s list.

Wide receivers Kendrick Bourne and Shaq Hill later signed free-agent contracts with the San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans. Bourne eventually made the 49ers’ regular roster.
