Kittitas High junior guard Brock Ravet, who has committed to Gonzaga, has been named the Gatorade Player of the Year for Washington.

Ravet wasn’t far from averaging a triple-double. He averaged 31 points, 9 assists, 8.8 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game this season while leading the Coyotes (25-1) to a second consecutive State 2B championship.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound Ravet made five 3-pointers, scored 30 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in a 65-50 victory over second-seeded St. George’s in last Saturday’s title game at the Spokane Arena. Ravet had 33 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists in a semifinal win over Adna.

Ravet was named the 2B Player of the Year and he’s also a two-time Eastern Washington Athletic Conference MVP. Ravet carries a 3.58 grade-point average.

Ravet is joined by Gonzaga Prep standout forward Anton Watson in GU’s 2019 class. Watson scored 22 points in Gonzaga Prep’s 54-52 win over Federal Way in the State 4A championship game last Saturday.
